Dasyprocta punctata

A diurnal rodent widely distributed in Colombia, it feeds mainly on seeds and fruits. It is an elusive and territorial animal, usually living in pairs near water sources and fruit trees. This photo was taken in Armenia, Quindío; from this place I was observing this male and his mate for a few months by means of a camera trap.
